BLÜTHNER PIANO MODELS AND DESCRIPTIONS Six different sizes of Grand pianos and three different sizes of upright pianos offer the possibility to select the right instrument for every requirement. A selection of finishes can be seen here.   Model 1 - Concert Grand With its cathedralesque sound, the concert grand offers rich variety for concert music, has round warm tonal character avoiding sharpness. THE IMPERIAL COLLECTION   President This design was created to please the discerning connoisseur using the acoustical construction of the classic series. It offers a more ornate outside, with moulded liners on the key bottom, chamfers at the top lid, a delicately carved music desk and a combination of rare veneers such as pyramid mahogany, birds eye maple, Bubinga or burl walnut. Ebony Polish - Model 4 Ambassador Fine Rosewood or Walnut veneer is artistically joined together. Various ornaments give refinement to the instrument. The preferable models are Models 2, 4 and 6. It is however available in all models. Rosewood Polish - Model 2 Kaiser Wilhelm II Turned legs, lyre and ornate music desk give this instrument a special historic flair. Ebony Polish - Model 4 Alexandra Turned legs, lyre and ornate music desk. This style is most popular with a Jubilee 150th Anniversary iron plate (frame) design. Ebony Polish - Model 6 Louis XVI Rococo White w/Gold Leaf - Model 6 Senator This instrument is designed in the colonial style. The veneer is Rosewood or French Walnut with inlays of leather embellished with gold linings. It is available in all models, but best for the Models 4 and 6. Rosewood/Leather - Model 6 Also available in Walnut/Leather Nicolas II This design was first used for an instrument that was bought by the Russian Tzar in the 18 th century. The delicately worked panels are made of precious wood from the roots of a Walnut tree, lined by a vein of Maple. All this is embedded into a basis of French Walnut. Walnut w/Burl Inlay Polish - Model 6 Special finishes with custom inlay available. Jubilee To commemorate the 150th birthday, a classic style plate was designed, which was popular a century ago. The richly ornamented iron frame is taken from a design which was created for the 50th anniversary of the Blüthner factory. The instrument is also fitted with the Aliquot scale. Apart from the classical ebony, it is also available in different wood finishes. It is only available in any style/finish of the Model 6.
